Welcome to the 2008 AT&T Classic at the Tournament Players Club at Sugarloaf and thank you for helping celebrate the Classic's 40th year. The 2008 champion will join defending champion Zach Johnson and a list of past winners that includes some of the most legendary names in golf: Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Hale Irwin and Phil Mickelson.

However, the AT&T Classic is much more than great golf. Since 1983 the tournament has donated more than $16 million to local charitable organizations. In 2007 alone, the tournament contributed over $1.4 million to local organizations including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the pre-eminent pediatric hospitals in America.

The AT&T Classic also supports other local programs such as the Atlanta Junior Golf Association, the Georgia State Golf Association's Yates Scholarship Fund, the First Tee - John A. White Park, the First Tee national program and the Project One Golf Academy. Year after year these contributions are made possible by the thousands of enthusiastic fans who attend this exciting event and the dedicated volunteers who so willingly donate their time and talents.

AT&T has a long tradition of service to the community and to tournament beneficiaries like Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We hope you enjoy the AT&T Classic, knowing that you are also helping families and children in the metro Atlanta area realize their full potential.

Sincerely,

Ed Whitacre
